Alternative rock band A Perfect Circle will return to Australia later this year, confirming a December tour that includes a stop in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena.
The run will see the band perform alongside Maynard James Keenan’s other project Puscifer, marking A Perfect Circle’s first Australian tour since 2013. It will also include the group’s first performance in New Zealand in more than 20 years.
Formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, A Perfect Circle quickly established themselves as a major force in alternative rock. Their debut album Mer de Noms was released in 2000 and featured songs including Judith and 3 Libras.
At the time, the album became the highest charting debut rock record ever, helping launch the band onto the international touring circuit.
In recent years A Perfect Circle have continued to perform select shows, including a return to European stages with their first headline tour since 2018. The upcoming Australia and New Zealand dates will bring that momentum to audiences in the southern hemisphere.
Joining them on the tour is Puscifer, the experimental project led by Keenan alongside Mat Mitchell and Carina Round. Known for blending dark electronic sounds with post punk influences and theatrical stage production, the band recently released their latest album Normal Isn’t.
Tickets for the tour will go on general sale at 9am local time on Friday 20 March.
Several presales will take place earlier in the week. The artist presale begins on March 17 at 9am, followed by a Live Nation presale on March 19. Spotify presales will also run before the general ticket release.
