Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy is heading back to Australia and New Zealand this November, bringing his newly released album The Weight of the Woods to arenas and outdoor stages across both countries.
The tour follows Kennedy’s appearance at last year’s MISNEACH Festival in Sydney and arrives after a major milestone for the artist, with The Weight of the Woods helping him become the first Irish solo artist to score number one albums in the UK with each of their first three studio releases.
Written and recorded largely at a studio near Kennedy’s home in rural Ireland, the album was created alongside longtime collaborator Gabe Simon, who has previously worked with artists including Noah Kahan and Lana Del Rey. The record features singles Honest, Funeral and Refuge.
Melbourne fans will have the opportunity to catch him at Rod Laver Arena on 21 November 2026.

Fans will have access to several pre-sale options ahead of tickets going on sale, including artist and Mastercard pre-sales. The Live Nation pre-sale runs from 10am AEST Thursday 7 May until 10am AEST Friday 8 May, with general public tickets available from 11am AEST on Friday 8 May.
With more than four billion streams worldwide and a reputation for emotionally charged live performances, Kennedy continues to cement himself as one of Ireland’s biggest musical exports.
