Melbourne’s iconic Winter Night Market is making its return to Queen Victoria Market this winter, bringing fire pits, street food, live music and late-night shopping back to the city every Wednesday night from 3 June to 26 August.
Running from 5pm to 10pm with free entry, the much-loved winter series transforms the historic market into a buzzing open-air destination packed with food stalls, glowing installations, roving performers and cosy corners to escape the cold.

Across 13 weeks, visitors can expect a rotating mix of global street food, winter cocktails, artisan traders and family-friendly entertainment, all wrapped up in the atmosphere of a classic Melbourne winter night.
Food remains at the centre of the experience, with returning favourites and new traders serving everything from loaded baked potatoes and raclette toasties to soft shell crab burgers and fried pasta cups inspired by Roman dishes. MELTED will dish up gooey raclette-loaded sandwiches and camembert croquettes, while The Soup Factory will lean fully into winter comfort food with pumpkin soup, clam chowder and lobster chowder.

Elsewhere, Oh My Doner will serve Berlin-style kebabs, Mixed Bag will keep the campfire snacks flowing with toasted marshmallows and s’mores, and American Doughnut Kitchen returns with its famous hot jam doughnuts alongside seasonal dipping sauces.
Drinks are equally winter-focused. Campfire Cocktails Bar will pour warming seasonal cocktails, while mulled wine once again takes its place as one of the market’s most popular cold-weather staples.

Beyond the food, the market’s specialty traders will offer handmade jewellery, vintage fashion, hats, scarves, pet accessories and locally made gifts. Traders including A Good Yarn, Ladybird Clothing and The Hat Project will feature throughout the season.
New for this year is Keys to Winter, a series of intimate piano performances running through June between 6pm and 9pm, adding another layer of warmth to the market atmosphere.
More than just a food event, the Winter Night Market remains one of Melbourne’s defining winter traditions and one of the city’s best midweek nights out.
