Legendary composer Hans Zimmer is heading back to Australia this October with an all-new arena spectacular that promises to completely transform the concert experience.
Announced by Frontier Touring, Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level will tour Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, showcasing Zimmer’s most ambitious production yet.
In Melbourne, the show will take place at Rod Laver Arena on Saturday 24 October.
“This show represents the next evolution of how film music can be experienced live,” Zimmer said.

The Oscar and Grammy-winning composer is known for redefining cinematic soundtracks, and now he’s pushing live performance even further with a visually immersive production blending orchestral power, electronic soundscapes and an enormous architectural stage design.
“I want fans to feel like they’re at a rave party or riding a roller coaster. For me, every show is a new voyage of discovery. The greatest challenge is the status quo – you have to do everything in your power to leave it behind and find and create something new.”
Zimmer will perform alongside his acclaimed 19-piece band, with Australian vocalist Lisa Gerrard joining the production among a lineup of featured performers. The new show has already become a massive success overseas, completing 50 sold-out arena performances across Europe and drawing more than 600,000 fans.
Audiences can expect live renditions of some of cinema’s most iconic scores including Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dune, The Lion King and The Last Samurai.
Across a career spanning more than 500 projects, Zimmer’s work has shaped some of the biggest films of all time, with worldwide box office earnings exceeding $30 billion.
Frontier Members can access a presale from Tuesday 2 June at 1pm local time, before general tickets go on sale Wednesday 3 June at 2pm local tim via frontiertouring/hanszimmerlive.
