Victoria is about to get a major new destination for family fun, with Australia’s largest family-owned entertainment chain, iPlay Australia, opening its first Victorian venue in Frankston on 30 July.
Taking over Frankston’s former TK Maxx site, the new 2,500-square-metre venue has been transformed into a multi-million-dollar indoor entertainment hub packed with attractions for all ages.
The space features more than 160 arcade games, an indoor bumper car arena, dedicated party and event rooms, and the Australian debut of the new Pandemonium Challenge Rooms.
Blending elements of an escape room and a game show, the Challenge Rooms see teams race against the clock through 11 physical and mental challenges, earning points as they compete for a place on the leaderboard.
The arcade also combines classic favourites with the latest releases, including Mai Mai, Maximum Tune 6 and Godzilla Kaiju Drop. Visitors will also find a dedicated claw machine zone filled with licensed prizes and collectibles.
The Frankston launch coincides with iPlay Australia’s 35th anniversary. Founded in Brisbane by electrical engineer John Sophios, the family-owned business has grown to 28 venues across Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, the ACT and now Victoria.
The expansion is set to continue, with a second Melbourne location already in the pipeline and further growth planned across Australia over the next year.
iPlay Frankston opens daily from 10am to 10pm from 30 July. Bookings are now available for casual visits, birthday parties and group events, with pre-opening offers including two-for-one bumper car rides and Pandemonium Challenge Room sessions.
