Iconic Aussie band, The Church, are embarking on a national tour revisiting their early repertoire. The ‘The Already Yesterday’ will be a nostalgic journey led by founding member Steve Kilbey and will grace stages across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Perth, and Adelaide from November to December 2024.
Fans of the pioneers of post-punk and new-wave music can anticipate a melodic feast featuring tracks from the band’s first four studio albums: ‘Of Skins & Heart’, ‘The Blurred Crusade’, ‘Séance’, and ‘Heyday’, alongside selections from their later discography.
These albums birthed some of The Church’s most enduring hits such as ‘The Unguarded Moment’, ‘Almost With You’, and ‘Electric Lash’, beloved by audiences worldwide.
Coinciding with their upcoming tour alongside Afghan Wigs in the US and Canada, Universal Music will reissue these seminal albums on vinyl, marking the first time in decades.
In a statement, the band said: “We will be celebrating the upcoming vinyl reissues of our first four albums throughout the year, including these special shows across the country that will feature songs from these records as well as everything you want to hear from the early days to the current days.”
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 24 May.
