Train services across the Ballarat, Albury and Bendigo lines are being extended – delivering more public transport connections for regional passengers.
Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams today announced that a new V/Line timetable will deliver a range of new travel options for regional passengers on some of Victoria’s busiest lines.
The timetable will take effect on Sunday, 1 December, with Ballarat Line passengers set to benefit from three evening peak services extending to Bacchus Marsh instead of terminating at Melton.
The five morning and five afternoon Bacchus Marsh services will also have journey time savings of three to five minutes, making travel easier and more convenient for those passengers.
Responding to the increased popularity of V/Line service following the introduction of fairer fares, the two special weekend services that were introduced on the Albury and Bendigo lines will also be made permanent.
Information on the new timetables will be available from Friday, 1 November – to learn more, visit ptv.vic.gov.au, vline.com.au or call 1800 800 007.
