Early 2000s indie is getting a proper revival this November, with Two Door Cinema Club announcing an Australian tour that lands at John Cain Arena on Friday 20 November.
The band will be playing their debut album Tourist History in full, alongside a run of fan favourites. Released in 2010, the record topped the Irish Independent Albums Chart and picked up the Choice Music Prize, building a following off the back of sharp guitar lines and dancefloor-ready hooks. Tracks like What You Know, Something Good Can Work and Undercover Martyn helped define that era of indie.
Joining them on the tour are The Vaccines, who will bring material from their own debut, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?. Released in 2011, the album arrived at the height of the UK indie wave, with songs like If You Wanna, Post Break-Up Sex and Wetsuit quickly becoming staples.
Together, the lineup leans heavily into nostalgia, but the format keeps it focused. Full album performances tend to draw a different kind of crowd, with fans coming in ready to hear records front to back rather than a shuffled setlist.
The tour kicks off in Perth before moving through Adelaide and Melbourne, followed by Sydney and Brisbane, before wrapping up in Auckland.
For Melbourne, the John Cain Arena show sits right in the middle of the run, making it one of the key dates on the schedule.
Pre-sales begin at 9am AEDT on Wednesday 25 March, with general tickets going on sale from 9am AEDT on Friday 27 March through destroyalllines.com.
