Award-winning comedian Aaron Chen has announced his biggest tour yet, unveiling a massive run of Australia and New Zealand shows for his brand-new stand-up hour Technology.
Kicking off in September 2026, the tour will see Chen bring his trademark deadpan delivery, surreal observations and brilliantly awkward humour to stages across both countries. In Melbourne, he’ll be at The Palais Theatre on 16 September.
Fresh off the success of his Netflix special Funny Garden, Chen’s latest live show takes aim at the chaos of modern technology, diving into the strange realities of digital life through his uniquely offbeat lens.
Over the past few years, Chen has become one of Australia’s most recognisable comedy voices thanks to sold out festival runs, viral clips and standout television appearances including Fisk and Guy Montgomery’s Spelling Bee.
Since first breaking through in 2017, he has collected an impressive list of accolades including Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Newcomer, Director’s Choice and the 2024 People’s Choice Award for highest ticket sales.
Technology is set to showcase Chen at the top of his game, blending sharp writing, subtle absurdity and awkward charm into a show that promises big laughs in some of the country’s most iconic seated theatres.
His previous comedy specials have attracted millions of online views and earned international attention, including an AACTA nomination, cementing his status as one of the most exciting names in Australian comedy right now.
With demand expected to be high, fans are encouraged to jump on tickets quickly once they become available.
Tickets go on sale Friday 12 June at 12pm, with Mastercard and Live Nation presales running earlier in the week.
