The Jonas Brothers have been confirmed to headline the halftime show when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams at the MCG on Friday 11 September – Melbourne’s first NFL regular season game.
Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas will perform during the historic clash, which kicks off at 10.35am AEST and will be streamed live globally on Netflix.
The performance will be the first of seven American Express-presented halftime shows across the NFL’s 2026 International Games, spanning seven countries and four continents.
For the Jonas Brothers, the Melbourne appearance adds another major milestone to a career that has seen the group sell more than 20 million albums, rack up 26 Billboard Hot 100 hits and score three consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200.
“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” said the Jonas Brothers.
“Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honor. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”
NFL senior director of global game presentation and entertainment Tim Tubito said the group was “the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne”, pointing to their ability to connect with audiences across generations.
The Jonas Brothers recently received another career accolade with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, adding to their two Grammy Award nominations and billions of streams.
The game itself will mark the first NFL regular season fixture played in Australia, with the MCG set to become the centre of the sporting world for the occasion.
