Melbourne Park will become the home of American football this September when the NFL Kickoff Festival arrives for three days of football, entertainment and fan experiences ahead of Australia’s first-ever regular season NFL game.
Running from Thursday 10 September to Saturday 12 September, the immersive festival will celebrate the historic clash between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, giving fans plenty to enjoy both before and during game week.
The precinct will be packed with NFL-themed attractions including interactive exhibits, retail pop-ups, official watch parties, live music, American food, Flag Football clinics and hands-on experiences. Fans can also test their athletic ability at the NFL Academy Combine Zone, take part in skills challenges and watch international Flag Football matches featuring Australia and New Zealand.
One of the biggest drawcards will be the chance to see all 60 Super Bowl rings alongside the Vince Lombardi Trophy, while NFL legends, commentators and executives, including Commissioner Roger Goodell, are set to appear throughout the festival. Team activations from the Rams, 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders will also feature across the site.
The festival will also host the official watch party for the opening game of the 2026 NFL season, along with a dedicated watch party for fans unable to attend the Melbourne game in person.
