This August, get ready to soar with dragons as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra transforms the Plenary at MCEC into a cinematic sky full of fire and flight.
For three magical performances only, How to Train Your Dragon in Concert will screen the much-loved DreamWorks film on the big screen, accompanied live by the full force of the MSO performing John Powell’s rousing, Oscar-nominated score.
Expect heart-stopping moments and soaring melodies as young Viking Hiccup and his unlikely dragon companion, Toothless, take audiences on a journey of friendship, courage and transformation. Every sweeping flight and thunderous dragon battle will be magnified by the emotional depth of a live symphony orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Buc.
Catch it on Friday 1 August at 7.30pm, or Saturday 2 August at either 2pm or 7.30pm. Tickets start at $65 and are expected to fly out the door.
This is your chance to relive one of the most visually and emotionally powerful animated adventures of the 21st century — now elevated to a breathtaking new level. A must-see for families, film-lovers, and anyone who believes in dragons.
