A one-day barbecue festival celebrating smoky flavours from around the globe is set to return to Dandenong Market on Sunday 19 April.
BBQs of the World will run from 10am to 3pm, bringing together international street food, live entertainment and family-friendly activities in the market’s southern carpark precinct.

The event centres on open grills and bold marinades, with traders serving up dishes spanning multiple continents. Visitors can expect everything from skewers and Cypriot souvla to Brazilian barbecue, West African meats and slow-smoked American classics.
The day is a chance to sample a wide mix of global flavours in one place, without the need to travel far beyond Melbourne’s southeast.
Alongside the food offering, drinks will include Dirty Soda, a sweet and fizzy option designed to cut through the richness of barbecue dishes.
The program also leans heavily into live performance, with a full schedule of music and dance acts running across the day. DJ Caleb opens the event from 10am, followed by a late morning set from One Spirit Africa.

Midday performances include a Latin dance showcase by Entertainment Dance Creations, before Maidens of Polynesia bring traditional Fijian, Tongan and Samoan dance to the stage early in the afternoon.
The live lineup wraps with a New Orleans-style brass band performance from Brooklyn 86, closing out the event with high-energy street music.
Entry to BBQs of the World is free, with free parking available on site. More info is here.
