The Kid Laroi announces rescheduled Melbourne shows
Australia’s own multi-platinum chart-topping global superstar The Kid Laroi has announced a rescheduled national Australian tour for November 2024. He’ll be playing two shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena as part of the tour, on 29 and 30 November.
Six the musical pop up event
To celebrate the sixth of the month and Six the Musical’s royal return to Melbourne, there’s a pop-up royal coronation event and exclusive live performance outside the Comedy Theatre at 240 Exhibition Street at 12pm Tuesday 6 August.
The Script to headline A Day On The Green
Award-winning Dublin four-piece The Script are headed back down under on their Satellites World Tour for January and February 2025. This will be the band’s first Australian shows in close to three years, after their electric 2022 Greatest Hits Tour. They’ll be playing at A Day On The Green at Mt Duneed Estate on 1 February 2025.
Countdown is on to the historic Women’s Ashes at the MCG
The countdown to the historic CommBank Women’s Ashes Day-Night Test Match is on. There are just six months to go until Australia and England play in the first-ever day-night Test at the MCG between January 30 – February 2, 2025.
Khruangbin announce Australian tour
Houston, Texas psych-funk trio Khruangbin have announced their highly anticipated return to Australia next summer. They’ll be playing at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on 25 February 2025.
Hot Water Music announce February tour dates
Legendary American punks, Hot Water Music have announced their long-awaited Australia and New Zealand tour, landing in February 2025. Joining them in Australia will be The Flatliners from Canada. They’ll be at 170 Russell in Melbourne on 21 February 2025 and at the Torquay Hotel in Torquay on 22 February 2025.
Healing mechanisms of Maori culture explored in new exhibition
Traditional Māori cultural ways of being are portrayed in a contemporary, dramatic show of story, place and community in Māreikura – Ka rere te rongoā (the medicine flows), a new exhibition opening at Immigration Museum on Friday 30 August.
Abbie Chatfield announces regional tour
Australian podcaster, TV star and entrepreneur Abbie Chatfield, is returning to the stage in 2024 as she brings The Trauma Dump Tour…goes regional across Australia this October and November – including dates in Warragul, Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo.

- Melbourne’s iconic Rialto will once again transform with a sea of cheerful daffodils blanketing the Piazza in support of Cancer Council’s annual ‘Daffodil Day’. Over two days – Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd August – visitors can wander through the field of flowers, discover new neon light installations and add their own personal messages of hope to the tribute tree.

- Australia’s favourite pinot party, Pinot Palooza, returns to the Royal Exhibition Building from 22-23 November.
- Commencing 13 August, and commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Shrine’s opening, a new exhibition – Designing Remembrance: Alternate visions for Victoria’s war memorial – delves into the forgotten chapters of the monument’s inception, revealing the myriad visions that once vied for a place in the heart of Victoria.
- The inaugural Western Port Writes Literary Festival will run from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 September 2024.
