British naturalist and television presenter Steve Backshall will return to Australia in January 2025 with his live show, OCEAN. He will be at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Saturday 18 January 2025.
After three successful sold-out tours in the UK, Backshall is now bringing his unique blend of education and adventure to fans across Australia and New Zealand.
OCEAN celebrates the marine world and showcases the wonders of the ocean through stunning visuals and science. Backshall will use a giant screen to display incredible footage from his extensive career, alongside live experiments, stunts, and life-size models of ocean giants.
Best known for his TV series Deadly 60, Backshall expresses his excitement about returning to Australia: “It’s been a few years since I last took my wildlife show on tour in Australia, and I’m thrilled to explore the ocean’s marvels with such an enthusiastic audience.”
The prominent figure in wildlife television has primarily worked with the BBC’s Natural History Unit and has presented various series including Expedition Borneo, Lost Land of the Jaguar, and The Venom Hunter.
