Iconic 1980s pop star Cyndi Lauper has announced she’s bringing her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour to Australia in April 2025. In Melbourne you’ll be able to see her at Rod Laver Arena on 2 April 2025.
The Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning artist, has captivated audiences worldwide with her distinctive voice, bold punk aesthetic, and unforgettable music.
From her groundbreaking debut album She’s So Unusual, which earned her a Grammy for Best New Artist, to her chart-topping hits like Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, and True Colors, Lauper has solidified her place in music history.
The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour marks Lauper’s final major tour, marking her first extensive run in a decade. Fans can expect dynamic performances of her greatest hits, along with special guests The Veronicas.
She announced her retirement from extensive touring earlier this year, with the North American leg of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour kicking off this month and taking in 23 cities. She isn’t retiring from music entirely, however, but is stepping back from the rigorous demands of touring and has expressed a desire to perform while she’s still strong and capable.
