Empire Of The Sun will bring their spectacular live show back to Melbourne in 2027, announcing a five-date Australian tour featuring a newly reimagined production.
The duo will play the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday, 27 February as part of the Ask That God: Afterlife Tour, which has been billed as the final live instalment of the journey surrounding their latest album.
The Australian tour will begin at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Sunday, 21 February before heading to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, wrapping up at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, 6 March.
The new production will expand on the technicolour world created by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, with the pair promising to push the scale and theatricality of their live performances even further.
“Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities – new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs,” Steele said in a statement.
“I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. We can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let’s break barriers together.”
Empire Of The Sun began this latest touring chapter following the release of Ask That God in 2024, their first album in eight years. The record features singles including Changes, Music On The Radio and Cherry Blossom.
Since the tour began in 2024, the duo have reportedly sold more than 400,000 tickets worldwide, with the Afterlife production set to bring a fresh take to the spectacular live show.
Fans can also expect favourites from across their catalogue, including Walking On A Dream, We Are The People and Alive.
Frontier Members can access presale tickets from 1pm local time on Wednesday, 16 September, with general tickets available from 2pm local time on Friday, 18 September. All Australian shows are licensed all ages.
