Punk-rock powerhouse The Living End will take the stage at Live at the Gardens on Saturday 22 November 2025, delivering a career-spanning set under the stars in the Royal Botanic Gardens’ leafy Observatory Precinct.
Celebrating the release of their first album in eight years, I Only Trust Rock ’n’ Roll (out 26 September via BMG), the trio – Chris Cheney, Scott Owen and Andy Strachan – are hitting the road for a national tour that includes this very special hometown show.
The Living End are one of Australia’s most enduring and electrifying rock bands, known for their ferocious live energy and a signature sound that blends punk, rockabilly, and pub rock. Formed in Melbourne in the early ’90s, the trio burst into the mainstream with their 1997 hit Prisoner of Society and their 1998 self-titled debut album, which became a multi-platinum success.
Fans can expect a high-octane double set featuring both fresh material and classics like White Noise, Roll On and Who’s Gonna Save Us—plus a full live run-through of their 1998 self-titled debut album, front to back – All Torn Down, Second Solution, Prisoner of Society alongside every other album track.
Presented by Roundhouse Entertainment as part of the third Live at the Gardens concert series, this promises to be a definitive highlight of Melbourne’s outdoor music season. Expect food trucks, garden bars, summer air and a crowd ready to shout every word.
