New York’s Postmodern Jukebox are set to bring their time-bending take on pop music back to Australia and New Zealand in 2026, returning with a packed run of shows across June and July.
The musical collective, founded by New York pianist Scott Bradlee, has built a global following by transforming well-known hits into jazz, swing and vintage-era arrangements performed by a rotating cast of singers, dancers and instrumentalists.
“In the midst of the AI hype all around us, some folks have gone so far as to proclaim that in the not-so-distant future, all of the music that we listen to will be AI-generated – we’ll gladly take the other side of that wager,” says PMJ founder and arranger Bradlee.
“We’re humbly presenting our own unique vision of a spectacular future; one that is built upon the timeless musical genres of the past and the authentically human spirit of creativity that inspired them.”

The Future Is Vintage Oceana tour spans 15 dates, beginning in Perth at the Astor Theatre on Friday 19 June. From there, the group will play Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Bendigo, Geelong, Canberra, Thirroul, Newcastle, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane before heading to New Zealand for shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, wrapping up at the Isaac Theatre Royal on Sunday 12 July.
Founded in 2011, Postmodern Jukebox first gained attention through YouTube, reworking songs by artists like Katy Perry, the White Stripes and Radiohead. The channel now counts more than 6.47 million subscribers and over 2 billion views, helping propel the collective onto major festival stages and international tours.
