Melbourne’s live music scene is set to flourish in 2025, with a huge lineup of international and local artists scheduled to perform across the city.
Kicking off the year, pop sensation Billie Eilish is slated for multiple shows at Rod Laver Arena, captivating audiences with her distinctive sound and stage presence.
In February, Drake will commence his “Anita Max Win Tour” at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, marking his return to Australia after an eight-year hiatus.
Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue is set to dazzle fans with her “Tension Tour,” beginning in Perth and including a series of home town performances at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena in late February. Bryan Adams is also playing at Rod Laver that same month.
Global country superstar Luke Combs is bringing his stadium tour to Melbourne where he’ll be playing two shows at Marvel Stadium on 7 and 8 February 2025.
March brings the anticipated return of Green Day at Marvel Stadium. While R’N’B star Nelly is scheduled to play at John Cain Arena that same month.
The Goo Goo Dolls are back in Australia for their first headline tour in more than 20 years, supported by Thirsty Merc at Margaret Court Arena in March. Synth pop legends New Order are playing the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on the March long weekend.
Meanwhile global powerhouse Dua Lipa is bringing her Radical Optimism tour down under and will play over several nights at Rode Laver Arena in March.
In April, 1980s icon Cyndi Lauper is bringing her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour to Rod Laver.
Following a one-off sold-out show at The Forum as part of Victoria’s 2024 Always Live event, The Offspring return in 2025 along with Simple Plan for a stadium show at Rod Laver Arena in May. Gracie Abrams also returns to Australia in May with a show at Rod Laver Arena.
Tina Arena is bringing encore performances of her Don’t Ask tour to The Palais in May. That same month also brings Train of Drops of Jupiter fame to John Cain Arena,
In June, Katy Perry’s “Lifetimes Tour” will make a stop in Melbourne, following her headline performance at the 2024 AFL Grand Final, offering fans a chance to experience her dynamic live show.
Nicole Kidman’s husband Keith Urban is bringing a massive stadium tour to Australia in August, including dates at Rod Laver Arena.
Tyler the Creator will be at Rod Laver Arena in August while homegrown hero Paul Kelly will bring his stadium tour to the same venue in September.
Having officially reunited in 2024 to tour Oasis return to Australia as a band for the first time in 20 years and will perform at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne over three nights on 31 October and 1-2 November 2025.
Another huge act coming to Marvel Stadium in November is legendary heavy metal band Metallica.
Pixies are also coming to Melbourne in November, playing gigs at Festival Hall.
Of course, there’s likely to be other major acts coming that haven’t been announced yet. Later in the year, rock legends AC/DC are expected to perform in late 2025 as part of their “Power Up Tour,” marking their first Australian shows in a decade.
The rumour mill is also buzzing that artsist including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Bruce Springsteen, Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park could all tour Australia this year.
